Refund Policy

BoardPrep’s goal is that you pay only when the service is worth the price. This page explains when and how you can get your money back.
1. 7-day unconditional refund
If you request a refund within 7 calendar days of your first charge, we’ll refund that charge in full, no questions asked. Just email us. We’ll process it within 5 business days through Stripe; it typically lands back on your card in 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
2. After the 7-day window
Past 7 days, monthly charges are non-refundable in the general case. You can cancel from the Stripe-hosted billing portal any time; cancellation stops future charges but doesn’t retroactively refund the current month.
Exception: if the service was materially broken for you (couldn’t sign in, couldn’t access questions, chatbot was unresponsive for a prolonged period), email us and we’ll work it out. We’d rather refund and keep you than hold onto a charge that upset you.
3. How to request a refund
Email support@boardprep.guru from the email address on your BoardPrep account. Subject line: Refund request. Include your account email and (optional) a sentence on what went wrong so we can learn from it.
You’ll get a confirmation within 5 business days.
4. What happens after a refund
When we refund you, we also cancel your active subscription so no further charges hit. Your account stays open in free-preview mode (15 questions per exam) so you don’t lose your study history — re-subscribe any time to reactivate full access.
5. Chargebacks
Before you file a chargeback with your bank, please email us first. Chargebacks cost both parties; a direct refund is faster, quieter, and gets you the money back sooner. If you do file one, we’ll respond to the dispute with the facts; repeat chargebacks may disqualify an account from re-subscribing.
6. Founder-price refunds
Founder-price subscriptions ($9.99/month, first 100 subscribers) use the same refund rules above. If you request a refund inside the 7-day window and later re-subscribe, you’ll need to re-qualify for the founder price — we can’t guarantee a seat will still be available.
